Questions
My university does not use GPA. Can I still apply?
Yes. The published threshold is a GPA of 3.85 or an equivalent academic record. Send your transcript in whatever form your university issues it — percentage, grade, or class rank — and the committee will read it in its own system.
I am strong academically but have no research or leadership. Does that disqualify me?
No. Leadership, initiative and research are things the committee looks for, not requirements you must all meet. A strong academic record on its own is a complete application.
What does the Merit scholarship actually give me?
Access to MeducateED course content and mentorship. The precise scope of each award is set when it is granted and stated in your decision email; it is not a fixed package.
Can I apply in my first year?
Yes, as long as you are enrolled at an accredited medical university and can show an academic record. A shorter record is not held against you.
Does applying cost anything?
No. Applying for a MeducateED scholarship is free, and it always will be. If anyone asks you to pay a fee to apply, it is not us — tell us at info@meducateed.com.
How long does a decision take?
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis rather than in fixed rounds, so there is no single answer — but you will always be told the outcome by email, whether it is yes or no. If your circumstances change while you are waiting, write to us and we will update your file.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes. The programmes recognise different things, and several students qualify for more than one. Apply for each separately so the committee sees the full picture for each; you will not be penalised for applying to more than one.
What happens to the documents I upload?
They are used only to assess your application. Scholarship application data — including academic records, financial circumstances and personal statements — is treated with heightened confidentiality under our Privacy Policy, and is retained for three years after the process concludes in case of a later application or appeal.
If I am not awarded one, can I apply again?
Yes. A decision applies to that application, not to you. Circumstances and academic records change, and re-applying later is welcome.
