Questions
What counts as a valid Ijazah?
An Ijazah in full memorisation (Hifz) issued by a certified scholar or a recognised institution, with a verifiable chain. Upload the certificate and name the scholar or institution that granted it so we can verify it.
I have memorised the Quran but have no formal Ijazah. Can I apply?
This particular award is defined by the Ijazah, so a certificate is required for it. The Financial Aid and Merit-Based scholarships remain open to you and carry no such requirement.
Will I be asked to recite?
Verification is normally done through the certificate and the issuing scholar or institution. If anything needs confirming, we will contact you first — you will never be put on the spot without notice.
Is this open to students of any madhhab or country?
Yes. The criteria are the Ijazah, enrolment at an accredited medical university, academic standing and character. Nothing beyond that is asked.
Does applying cost anything?
No. Applying for a MeducateED scholarship is free, and it always will be. If anyone asks you to pay a fee to apply, it is not us — tell us at info@meducateed.com.
How long does a decision take?
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis rather than in fixed rounds, so there is no single answer — but you will always be told the outcome by email, whether it is yes or no. If your circumstances change while you are waiting, write to us and we will update your file.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes. The programmes recognise different things, and several students qualify for more than one. Apply for each separately so the committee sees the full picture for each; you will not be penalised for applying to more than one.
What happens to the documents I upload?
They are used only to assess your application. Scholarship application data — including academic records, financial circumstances and personal statements — is treated with heightened confidentiality under our Privacy Policy, and is retained for three years after the process concludes in case of a later application or appeal.
If I am not awarded one, can I apply again?
Yes. A decision applies to that application, not to you. Circumstances and academic records change, and re-applying later is welcome.
